When I first joined the team at Primerica, I was initially tasked with updating content on over a dozen public-facing websites and making them ADA-compliant. I single-handedly combed through the code of each website adding aria tags, captions, anchors, alt text and correcting the contrast on images to make it easier for our blind and hearing impaired visitors to consume content while also saving the company millions in potential lawsuits.

I began designing websites in WordPress over a decade ago and created custom themes for dozens of entrepreneurs and small business owners. Since I was already responsible for structuring blog posts passed on by our Copywriter on a weekly basis, I couldn’t help asking my manager if I could create a new theme for the main blog. After giving askprimerica.com a much needed facelift, I went on to give news.primerica.com the clean and polished design that remains today.
